We offer IT services from simple ad-hoc on-site support to
fully comprehensive proactive, maintenance cover with remote
access suitable for businesses of any size. Smaller clients
who are more cost sensitive typically use us as someone to call
for quick advice or to resolve a specific fault they cannot
fix on their own. Our larger clients mostly go for our complete
support package where we proactively fix faults to minimise
or even eliminate disruptions due to computer faults.
The key areas where we differ from our competitors are that:
1 - We keep things as simple as possible, rather than trying
to woo customers with fancy systems and setups.
2 - We prefer to use humans rather than PCs. Clients get to
talk to someone when they have a fault rather than just a voice
mailbox or email. We have a company mobile number so you can
talk to someone 24/7 as well.
3 - We don’t use automatic software to inform us when
a customer’s server has a fault. What if the software
fails? Talk about the lunatics running the asylum, why use software
to check other software for faults? We only use competent IT
engineers who log in remotely and manually check each item.
4 – We are an on-site IT support company that uses remote
support software to facilitate fixing faults whenever suitable.
Rather than a remote support company that takes your PC away
if it can’t be done remotely. When we turn up on site
the problem is fixed onsite.
SR Networks Maintenance Contract & Options
Each company who uses computers does so in many different ways.
Trying to cover everyone with a one-size-fits-all maintenance
contract will only end up with something not suitable to the
client. At SR Networks we get around that problem by allowing
our clients to uniquely tailor their contract to fit their needs.
In practice this means that you can have basic support cover
for some PCs whilst also having a full support package for your
key computers. All you have to do is sign up for the basic cover,
then pick your options for each PC – it couldn’t
be simpler!
Basic Cover
Basic simply means that if something stops working, we fix
it. We will use remote control software to fix most problems
quickly over the internet, but attend onsite if the problem
necessitates.
Options
This option is like insurance in that if some piece of hardware
inside the machine breaks we replace it for free with a new
item. Everything inside of, and including the computer case,
is covered, but anything external or consumable are not.
With this option we provide your antivirus software and maintain
it for 12 months. If you get a virus it is now our responsibility
to remove it.
As with most things, it’s usually not always the best
idea to wait until things break and then fix the problem. Since
the time taken to fix the fault may well be free on a maintenance
contract, but it still costs you time since you won’t
be able to use you computer until it is fixed. This option seeks
to identify faults before they occur by performing a multitude
of weekly checks of each PC.
After having your server actually working, the next most important
item is that it is backing up successfully every night. Many
times we have seen cases where a server has developed a fault
and it is only then that the company realises the backup was
not actually working. This option allows us to monitor your
backups on a weekly basis to ensure you are fully protected.
Spyware is, at the moment, the main cause of frustration with
PCs. It slows the PC down, sends you pop-up adverts and adds
you to spam lists. This option will greatly reduce or even stop
the amount of pop-ups and spam emails you receive.
